Papa Peter story began when he was just five years old, going out to watch live band performances at funerals and during home town festivals. Hes interest in music grew bigger until one day his mother told him even as she was pregnant at her time , wherever music is playing she could hear movement in her womb, which obviously means her son was a fan of music before he was born.
learning and singing songs from musicians like Nana Ampadu, Akwasi Ampofo and most of the legends of high life music. not so long till he was promoted to JHS where hes music skills started developing , i would write up to 10 songs or more for even a day and it inspired the whole journey time of music.
Rhythmic and versatile because he was able to give his own. Hes first attempt to put out a single came after A friend took him to the studio to record a song with him and the experience was awesome. Later i got prepared to take music professionally and i was motivated to write more songs hoping to get money to record them. He ended up even leaving school because he saw music to be his profession that and wanted to start work to save money for hes new recordings,
Since then , Papa Peter had recorded several songs, and a lot doing well now in the market space. two albums so far and currently in the studio now recording his third album.
Papa Peter utmost aim is to revive highlife music in Ghana and also inchoate in our future leaders the need to speak their native language.
