In an event that took place at the Africa corporate Headquarters of BOGOS BEVERAGES in Lagos Nigeria on April 28, 2023, one of Benue’s seasoned On-air Personalities, event host and leading show promoter-Henry Ipole AKA The Radio Jagaban, with a career spanning over two decades, got endorsed by the distilling giant as a brand ambassador of one of their fast-selling products, “EXPRESION WINE” in a deal worth millions of naira.
H-3:16 as he is fondly called by many, while disclosing the good tidings to selected close colleagues, associates, influencers and friends in a media frenzy organized in his honour at the newly commissioned Clins Liquor Lounge, King Plaza, Makurdi on Sunday evening, the 14th of may 2023, expressed his delight to have been recognized by a company from a foreign land.
He further added that the endorsement was an added fuel for him to keep fanning his flames and a validation that the Benue youths irrespective of career paths are extremely hard working.
While dedicating the endorsement to his teeming colleagues in the industry and requesting their support to enable him fulfill his obligations in the deal, he charged them to not relent in putting in their very best in terms of duty and character in their various endeavors, stressing that the world is constantly focusing their lenses on media practitioners and creatives as the image makers of the society.
In reaction, Brand Strategist, Mr Collins Umah emphasized the need for the endorsee to highlight his Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as a necessary parameter to aid them present to assist him in the fulfillment of his obligations.
Online Skit-maker & comedian Omo Benue, TrippleA studios Team-lead, Dr Abisoye, Seasoned Cinematographer OG Celex, social media influencer, businessman and entertainment enthusiast Ukeyima UkMoni, and a host of other attendees, stressed the need for visual advertisement as a veritable tool in marketing in the 21st century; citing blue-chip communication giants-Airtel and MTN, beverage leaders COCA COLA as some of the ardent users of visual representations in marketing and the unquantifiable imports there in, thus advising the celebrant to employ such avenues in promoting his new office and the mother company as well.
Not forgetting that a lot of drinking, munching and chewing accompanied the big announcement and the intellectual engagement that lasted barely two hours, courtesy of the celebrant and Clins Liquor Lounge who are the sole distributors of expresion wine and their sister products in Benue.
It is important to put on record also that the gathering was accompanied by the first major rainfall in Makurdi metropolis since the beginning of the year 2023, a sign according to common belief that God (or the gods) are in agreement with one’s actions.
