Twins' Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton leave game after colliding on the field.

Minnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa and center fielder Byron Buxton left Thursday's game against the Baltimore Orioles after a collision in the third inning.

The incident occurred when Baltimore’s Cedric Mullins hit a shallow fly ball to center field. Correa moved back onto the outfield grass while Buxton charged in. Although Buxton seemed to call off Correa at the last moment, they collided. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Buxton crashed into the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Correa.

Correa left the game immediately and was replaced by Jonah Bride. Buxton finished the third inning but did not return for the fourth, with Ty France taking his place.
