BENUE STATE UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, IHUGH COMMENCES FIRST YEAR (2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION) WITH THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMMES

 

BSUAST INTRODUCTION

Academic activities in the Benue State University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (BSUAST) Ihugh, will commence in Year I (2025/2026 Academic Session) with the commencement of pre-degree and short certification programmes to feed the establishment of Science and Technology programmes in the School of Computing and Innovation, School of Chemical Sciences and Technology, and School of Science and Industry. Also, the programmes in these Schools will serve the professional programmes in all the twelve Schools that to be established in the first phase. They are: 

 (i.) School of Precision Agriculture, 

 (ii.) School of Sustainable Forestry and Green Economy, 

(iii.) School of Fisheries and Blue Economy, 

(iv.) School of Livestock and Animal Biotechnology, 

(v.) School of Computing and Innovation, 

(vi.) School of Chemical Sciences and Technology, 

(vii.) School of Science and Industry, 

(viii.) School of Basic Medical Sciences, 

(ix.) School of Clinical Sciences, 

(x.) School of Allied Health Sciences, 

(xi.) School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and 

(xii.) School of Engineering and Technology. 

By these, the University would have established twelve (12) Schools comprising sixty-eight (68) Departments and seventy-two (72) undergraduate programmes, by the end of Phase I. Specifically, fifty-one (51) programmes shall be established in the first year to mark take-off of academic activities.
