Our biggest problem last season wasn’t defending, it was putting the ball in the net — we just couldn’t score when it mattered most.

 

United conceded just 7 more goals than Newcastle and 3 more than Aston Villa… yet they finished 5th and 6th while we ended up 15th, looking lost. Why? Because Newcastle scored 24 goals more, and Villa 14 more. The gap was never in defence, it was in the final third.

That’s why the only real hope I have this season is tied to one thing: the possibility of signing three proper forwards.

Cunha and Mbeumo already bring 49 goal contributions between them from last season. Add a striker who can get us 15–20, and suddenly we’re not the same toothless side from last year. We become direct, dangerous, and unpredictable again.

Of course, we won’t expect them to instantly repeat those exact numbers, but their profile is exactly what we've been missing: pace, goals, movement, and relentless intent.
