Some fans shout for Matheus Cunha, others push for Benjamin Sesko, and a good number argue for Bryan Mbeumo.
But when you look at the numbers, the choice isn’t even close.
Statistically, Bruno’s record at United is strong, with about 90.5%, scoring 38 out of 42 penalties since joining.
But this season, he’s already missed a couple, and the pressure clearly shows.
Cunha has taken around 7 penalties in his career with a 75% success rate. Sesko has taken just 2 and scored both.
Mbeumo, on the other hand, has one of the best records, 11 out of 12 scored, his only miss coming against Grimsby recently.
Looking at those numbers, the answer is obvious. If Bruno steps aside, Bryan Mbeumo should be Manchester United’s penalty taker.
The stats don’t lie.
