Tension has continued to ripple through the Benue music scene following a bold lyrical outburst by fast-rising rapper Unstoppable, popularly known as the “Gboko Boy,” who recently took shots at several Makurdi rappers and made controversial remarks about the “Made in Benue” movement.
The diss track, which quickly sparked reactions across social media, saw Unstoppable question the dominance and authenticity of some Makurdi-based artists. His comments stirred debate among fans, with many calling for unity while others demanded a lyrical response from those mentioned.
In a surprising twist, the situation took a calmer turn when Unstoppable was invited to Makurdi for a face-to-face engagement. During the visit, he was taken to meet respected Benue music figure OD Woods, regarded by many as one of the state’s industry pioneers.
Sources present at the meeting revealed that OD Woods welcomed the Gboko-born rapper warmly and offered brotherly advice, emphasizing growth, collaboration, and mutual respect within the Benue entertainment space. The meeting reportedly ended on a positive note, signaling a possible de-escalation of tensions.
