During Saturday’s game between the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox, cameras captured a fan pouring milk over himself in celebration of a home run by Jarren Duran—mimicking the traditional milk celebration of an Indy 500 winner. A similar scene occurred at Citi Field after the New York Mets defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in a rematch of last year’s NL Championship Series.
Only one driver will earn the honor of dousing themselves with milk at Sunday’s race, known as "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing." The Indiana Dairy Association revealed that 28 out of 33 drivers have chosen whole milk for the post-race tradition. Among the few opting for 2% milk are Helio Castroneves, Conor Daly, Graham Rahal, Alexander Rossi, and Takuma Sato.
