BREAKING NEWS: Midnight Inferno Guts St. Winifred Girls Secondary school Ihuge

 

 

A devastating fire has razed an entire hostel block at St. Winifred Girls’ Secondary School, Ihugh, late last night, leaving the building completely destroyed. According to an official statement issued by the school management on 29th October 2025, the fire broke out while students were away for night preparations.

The cause of the blaze is still unknown, but the school confirmed that no lives were lost, attributing this to divine intervention. “To the glory of God, no lives were lost, only properties were affected,” the management stated.

Charred remains of the building and collapsed roofing sheets were all that remained as emergency responders worked through the night to control the inferno.

The school has called on the public to remember the institution in their prayers as it navigates the aftermath of the disaster.
