First, when Kobbie Mainoo came on to replace Mbeumo, he didn’t look happy at all. Not even a smile. Even while Amorim was giving him instructions, he looked distant, almost frustrated.
His facial expression said it all, he wasn’t pleased. That’s something he needs to work on, because mentality is just as important as talent. And make no mistake, Mainoo has huge potential.
Well, maybe Kobbie is never a full smiling face. He’s a focused human, and his expression is often misinterpreted by many people, just like I might be doing right now.
Second, Matheus Cunha’s decision-making was frustrating to watch.
You can’t question his energy or skill, he’s dangerous, sharp, and fearless, but he holds the ball too long.
Sometimes, a quick pass or simple link-up would do more damage than trying to take on everyone alone.
Both players are talented, but if they can fix those small details, focus and teamwork, they’ll become even better for the team.
