You could also see the situational switch to a 5-3-2 or 4-4-2 depending on the ball side.

He tried something similar in his first few games at United but abandoned it too soon. 

Now it’s back and it’s exactly the kind of adjustment that gives the team more control out of possession while still keeping the attacking fluidity.

If Amorim keeps making tweaks like this and adapts faster to each opponent, he’ll grow into a top Premier League manager sooner than people think.
