It was designed mainly for elderly people so they’re less likely to fall, by moving like an animal’s tail to support the body. 

The invention is called Arque, and it was made by researchers as an experimental wearable device — not a product in everyday use yet. ⚠️🐒

So the viral post is mostly true, but it makes it sound more common and advanced than it really is.
